Mirelle Rhodes

Mirelle Rhodes is a couture costume designer and wearable artist creating sculptural works that transform imagination into reality.

Born into a world of craftsmanship, Mirelle grew up surrounded by the tools and techniques of custom sewing and upholstery through her family’s trade business. From industrial sewing machines to fabrication tools, creating was never something she discovered; it was always a part of her world.

After studying business, Mirelle began her career as a lead designer for a contract sewing company specializing in the outdoor and backpacking industry. There, she developed a deep understanding of construction, function, materials, and the relationship between creativity and practical design. Over time, her passion for creating evolved into the world of costume, where imagination could expand beyond the boundaries of everyday clothing and become a form of storytelling.

Through her work, Mirelle creates more than garments. She creates transformations.
 

Inspired by nature, mythology, and the worlds that exist within the imagination, each piece begins as an idea and evolves through research, design, sculpture, and craftsmanship into a wearable reality. Her creations are designed to do more than be seen; they are designed to help the wearer step into a version of themselves they have always imagined.
 

For Mirelle, wearable art is a bridge between the inner world and the outer one. It is a way to bring the impossible into existence and give people the freedom to experience a moment of transformation, confidence, and joy.
 

As the founder and creative director of ID Fabrications, Mirelle’s work has traveled across the globe, with her creations reaching six continents. Her greatest measure of success is not only the pieces she creates, but the way people feel when they wear them.
